Sector Lead

Brian has over 35 years working in the public sector, with the majority of that time spent as a senior leader in transport at Milton Keynes City Council. Brian’s background is in transport planning and engineering being a chartered transport planner for over 20 years.

Whilst at MKCC Brian led the development and delivery of the council’s programme of Transport Innovation, supporting Milton Keynes’ growth as a leading Smart City. Brian’s role included leading several programmes to introduce CAM services in the city, This included a national/internation research study into attitudes to CAVs, the first UK deployment of CAVs on the UK streets (2014). UK Autodrive – the Uks largest single investment in a CAV project, and integrated programmes /projects linking advanced IT comms  (5G) into supporting CAV activities.
